Penn Foster Career School is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC), which is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency. Penn Foster Career School is licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Private Licensed Schools.

Penn Foster College Accreditation: Penn Foster College is licensed by the Arizona State Board for Private Postsecondary Education and is authorized to award Associate of Science Degrees. Penn Foster College has met the high standards of integrity and performance set by the Accrediting Commission of the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC) in Washington, D.C. The DETC is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency.

The American Council on Education, ACE/College Credit Recommendation Service (formerly ACE/PONSI), is nationally recognized as a major coordinating body for postsecondary education. Many Penn Foster College degree programs have been evaluated for college transfer credit by ACE/College Credit Recommendation Service. The suggested transfer credits are listed in The National Guide to Educational Credit for Training Programs published by the American Council on Education.*

CEUs serve as a nationally recognized unit of measure for continuing education and training.
