Advanced Medical Coding Certificate

This course is designed to introduce students to advance coding applications and methodologies. A Certificate in Advanced Medical Coding will verify that you have been formally trained to utilize CPT and ICD-9-CM classification systems.

Students must have earned their career diploma in Medical Coding and Billing or completed a Medical Coding and Billing Certificate program before enrolling in this course.

• The Medical Coding 2 course utilizes the application of the CPT and ICD-9-CM classification systems to code diagnoses and procedures.

Computer specifications: You will need access to a Microsoft® Windows®-based computer to complete this program.
